Lovepop approached us to modernize their eCommerce site with a goal of elevating their brand and building trust with consumers. We realized the added value a headless approach would provide when it came to storytelling, personalization, and site performance.
Available online and in select retail locations across the US, Lovepop cards and gifts create memorable, shared connections between giver and receiver. This magical brand brings to life the belief that love, the foundation for a brighter world, grows when it is shared.
Leveraging Shopify Plus and Nacelle, and in collaboration with Lovepop’s internal team, we set out to redesign and rebuild lovepop.com as a headless progressive web app (PWA). The new site would feature boundary-pushing personalization flows and remarkable customer experience (CX), all validated by the brand’s commitment to user testing, consumer research, and process.
Using Nacelle and the React.js framework, we rebuilt Lovepop’s Shopify Plus store as a headless PWA. This approach would give their customers an app-like shopping experience, increased site performance, and a best-in-class mobile experience that would help increase metrics, like site speed and conversion rate.
Through user testing and research, we discovered that Lovepop’s customers craved visuals and engaging content. As a result, our creative teams rethought Lovepop’s digital strategy to utilize engaging content, capture beautiful product photography, create 3D photos and videos, and incorporate Lovepop’s existing bold color palette to bring the brand to life online.
Our technology teams took the time to create unit tests for almost every component and chose an incremental static regeneration framework, while our UX/Strategy teams conducted consistent primary user research and iterative design prototype testing. The result is an app-like customer experience that truly sets the standard for speed and performance.
