The Objective

Driving Sales at Walmart

The goal of this new project was to increase in-store and online purchases of Flex’s menstruation products at Walmart during the summer of 2022, in the midst of a tampon shortage.

Since Flex was relatively new to Walmart, our team decided to take on a holistic, full-funnel approach to this project by combining Walmart DSP and Walmart Search. We leveraged Walmart’s first-party audiences to drive brand awareness and direct traffic to Walmart.com through programmatic display and video ads.

Reaching Shoppers Above the Fold

Once shoppers arrived on Walmart.com, our team used Walmart Sponsored Ads (on-site) to reach shoppers at the point of search intent. By targeting keywords like “tampon” and “menstruation cup,” Search ads were delivered above the fold or directly on product detail pages to drive consideration and conversion of Flex’s tampon alternatives.

The Result

A Successful Digital Activation

By combining Walmart DSP and Walmart Search Ads. Flex was able to reach and educate Walmart shoppers about their menstruation products and convert them on Walmart.com using strategically placed ads. In addition to great results, our partnership with the brand is made stronger by the valuable shopper insight that was gained during the campaign.
