For the second year in a row, The Stable launches apprentice program designed for individuals without a college degree.

Bentonville, AR – The Stable, part of Accenture Song, an award-winning commerce agency that connects brands and consumers across all channels, is searching for an Executive Apprentice via an unconventional recruiting initiative: a program designed for individuals who have ambition, drive and potential, but never had the opportunity to go to college. The exciting “No College? No Worries.” initiative is seeking candidates within Bentonville, Arkansas and surrounding areas to apply for a life-changing career opportunity to join the fast-growing agency as an Executive Apprentice with the hope of training them to become a future business leader.

Applications will be accepted through the end of December 2022, with in-person interviews held in January 2023. The selected candidate will begin working at The Stable in March of 2023.

On-the-job training for the Executive Apprentice includes a three-month program across all areas of business before two, six-month rotations focused on growing position-specific skills. Armed with a department mentor, this individual will gain experience from mini-projects and hands-on learning, as well as senior leadership and exposure and support. Participants will also receive a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits throughout the experience.

While the apprentice program is the first of its kind in the agency space, the concept is inspired by The Stable’s CEO and Co-Founder, Chad Hetherington, who did not attend college. Instead, Hetherington focused on building his career through real-world experience, mentorship, and a relentless drive to succeed.

“I didn’t have the chance to go to college after high school”, says Hetherington. “Instead I went right to work, hustled and surrounded myself with the right people who could teach me the ins and outs of business. Once I learned that, I was unstoppable! I believe everyone has something to offer regardless of educational background, and I’m excited to give another individual their big break.”

The #NoCollegeNoWorries initiative began last year in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where The Stable’s headquarters is located. After receiving hundreds of submissions, Grace Slaubaugh officially joined The Stable in March 2022 as its first Executive Apprentice. Leaders at The Stable provided Slaubaugh with the tools and resources needed to be successful. At the end of the 15-month program, Slaubaugh will join the organization full time.

Slaubaugh brings a nontraditional education path and experience across automotive technology, early childhood education, retail, and community partnerships. In her role as an Executive Apprentice, she applies her innate leadership mentality, project facilitation experience, and strategic problem solving skills to help drive value to the agency and its client roster.

“I’m incredibly thankful for the sheer possibility that comes with the apprentice role,” said Slaubaugh. “Because of The Stable and the opportunity to become an Executive Apprentice, I was able to find an incredible career that perfectly aligns with my unique skills and talents. It’s equal parts challenging and rewarding, and I would highly recommend the program to anyone who is considering applying.”

Now, The Stable plans to launch the second search for the next Executive Apprentice near its Bentonville office, home to Walmart retail services and ad technology divisions. Potential candidates can learn more and submit an application for the position at NoCollegeNoWorries.com beginning on October 19, 2022.
