The agency hires its second Executive Apprentice in the out-of-the-box recruiting movement, this time, in Northwest Arkansas.

The Stable, part of Accenture Song, has made the first Northwest Arkansas hire within its successful #NoCollegeNoWorries program. Last fall, The Stable put out a call encouraging individuals who were unable to attend college to instead apply for a life-changing opportunity: to gain full-time employment and to learn business from the inside of the award-winning commerce agency. Danny Salinas accepted a position with The Stable as the next Executive Apprentice, starting work on January 30, 2023.

Inspired by The Stable’s CEO and Co-Founder, Chad Hetherington, who does not hold a college degree, the #NoCollegeNoWorries movement launched two years ago in Minneapolis, Minnesota, home to the agency’s headquarters. After receiving hundreds of submissions, Grace Slaubaugh officially joined The Stable in March 2022 as its first Executive Apprentice. Leaders at The Stable provided Slaubaugh with the tools and resources needed to be successful, resulting in a full-time position.

Due to the success of the Minneapolis program, The Stable kicked off the second search for the next Executive Apprentice near its Bentonville office, home to Walmart retail services and ad technology divisions.

Over the next 15 months, Danny Salinas will work across all departments of the agency. Equipped with a department mentor, experience from mini-projects and hands-on learning, paired with senior leadership exposure and support, Salinas will gain the training and tools he will need to grow into a future business leader at The Stable.

“I remember scrolling through Instagram last year and seeing a post from The Stable promoting the search for an apprentice,” said Salinas. “This job felt like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I didn’t want to let pass me by. The Stable represents so many brands that I’m already using in my personal life, and I’m looking forward to getting to collaborate on different campaigns while learning how agencies work with some of the world’s largest retailers. Everyone at The Stable has been extremely genuine and helpful throughout this process, and I can’t wait to learn from the best in the business.”

At The Stable, Salinas will use his communication skills, project management experience, agility, and creativity to drive value to the agency. Salinas credits his parents, who migrated to the United States from another country, for being a source of inspiration for hard work and resiliency, and he plans to use the lessons they’ve instilled in him to help make an impact in his new role.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Danny to the team, and can’t wait to see his growth at The Stable,” said Chad Hetherington, CEO and Co-Founder of The Stable. “I didn’t have the opportunity to go to college and started working right out of high school. Often, candidates aren’t taken seriously by large companies if they don’t have a degree, and we want to challenge that mindset by being the springboard for opportunity. When people have passion for what they do, they’re going to be more successful.”
